Safeguarding cultural heritage of Republic of Bulgaria is a key priority of Thrace Foundation. By popularizing and promoting the Bulgarian historical traditions and by raising the national proud in the society, our institution will aim to raise the Bulgaria's role within the European family and worldwide.

The main objectives of Thrace Foundation are to organize and support the discovery and safeguarding of cultural values, a part of the Bulgarian and world cultural and historical heritage.

The Thrace Foundation is actively involved in activities of government and non-government organizations related to updating the law governing the cultural heritage.

Thrace Foundations jointly with municipalities and non-government organizations takes part in the development of projects and programmes related to conservation, restoration and exposure of significant archaeological sites.

The Foundation makes special efforts in creating and building a system for safeguarding the cultural and historical heritage based on distribution of responsibilities among the state and the civil society.

By creating Vassil Bojkov Museum we succeeded in changing the traditional opinion that the museum work belongs only to the government. Our main objective is safeguarding, identification, conservation, restoration, studying, publishing and exposing remarkable values of high cultural and historical significance.

The foundation has significant scientific potential for carrying out archaeological research, analyses, scientific research, project, exhibition, conservation and restoration practices.

Starting with the private collection named Vassil Bojkov, Thrace Foundation was one of the main founders of the Union of the Collectors in Bulgaria - the most serious public institution in the field of cultural heritage and museum work.

We provide support to scientific institutions, centres, academic institutions, universities, schools, museums and individual creators in their activities, which are consistent with the goals of the Foundation.

Popularization of the Bulgaria’s cultural heritage by different public activities, connected thematically with the Foundation's activity in European and world context, is one of the key goals, which is set by our non-government organization.
